DAVE’S ANNOUNCED AS BEST TOUR & TRANSPORT OPERATOR AT 2017 NSW TOURISM AWARDS

We Won!

Our Sydney based Brewery Tours and Pub Walks joined 24 other outstanding tourism businesses from across New South Wales honoured as the winners of the 2017 NSW Tourism Awards. And we’re pretty stoked to say the least.  We may have even had a beer or 2 to celebrate the win.

Managed by the Tourism Industry division of the NSW Business Chamber, the state’s peak business organisation, and supported by the NSW Government via its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, the NSW Tourism Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism excellence in NSW.  Speaking at the Awards, Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall highlighted the importance of tourism and events to the State’s economy and congratulated the winners.  “To be recognised at the NSW Tourism Awards is an outstanding achievement and well deserved recognition. The NSW Visitor Economy is the envy of every other State, with the greatest share of domestic and international visitors, visitor nights and expenditure, and an impressive calendar of major events across Sydney and rural and regional NSW, attracting millions of tourists all year round,” Mr Marshall said.  “At the heart of this success are the many hard-working individuals and businesses across NSW who work tirelessly to deliver world-class tourism experiences and I thank them for their commitment to excellence.”

We now advance to the 2018 QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards to be held at the Perth Stadium, Friday 23 February 2018. NSW Business Chamber Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Cartwright, congratulated this year’s winners for their outstanding performance.  “This year’s winners and finalists should be incredibly proud to be acknowledged as the leading tourism businesses in NSW. Award entrants continue to showcase a diverse array of talent, passion and innovative drive that allows our state’s tourism industry to thrive. Good luck to all winners continuing on to the QANTAS Australian Tourism Awards in February,” Mr Cartwright said.

For us at Dave’s, it is acknowledgment and reward for all the hard work the team has put into developing beer tourism in Sydney and NSW and leading the efforts in not just getting more beer fans and beer curious into our local breweries, but in bringing together the beer and tourism industries.  Having a vibrant beer tourism industry is a vital part of helping the local beer community thrive and we’re grateful and committed to being a major part of all our beer and producer communities now and in the future.
